Virtual Town Hall Meeting with Emily Semple, Ward 1 Eugene City Council
Wednesday, October 14th, 6:30-7:30 pm
Tackling the Challenge of Unhoused Neighbors
“The plight and suffering of the unhoused and the negative impacts on neighborhoods and businesses of people living on the streets have the same solution: eliminating homelessness by finding shelter for those without. How do we do that? How do we pay for it? Why haven’t we been able to solve this problem? These are some of the questions Emily will address as we seek to expand the community coalition being forged by Councilor Semple, neighborhood leaders, social service providers and homeless advocates to find a solution to the biggest problem facing Eugene.”
Pre-submitted questions (from Ward 1 residents received by Oct. 7th) will be grouped and answered first, and audience members may ask additional questions as time allows. This Town Hall will be recorded and posted online.
